The mech looks great, but something seems off with the hand held gun. Almost like the barrel is not aligned with the receiver. Maybe it's just me. Fantastic work regardless. Looking at your galleries has my doodling mechs again too.

I wouldn't say that the "head as a body" concept is original, but for a real mecha it sure is unexpected and it works very well in this particular case: good job, man!

I'd love to see this in color! It's such a cool design, I love the vents on the rifle, and the fin on the shoulder-cannon. Oh, and the face/chestplate, of course. That's just so awesome.
