This is my illustration for the Firefly Battlemech from the Battletech book "Historical: Operation Klondike". You can buy the book from your local game store or order it online. It's a great book and I highly recommend it!

This image is at 72 dpi... my original file was created at 600 dpi.

This is the fourth of 8. I'll post them weekly.

Here's the original desings first appearance [link]
And here's the newer version that I worked from [link]

What was always a boring looking 'mech now looks absolutely amazing!

Easily one of my favourites from Klondike.

I checked, its new sets of rules and campaigns for people to play out, somehting I wouldnt need,I dont play CBT either, too complicated, and too expensive,15 bucks for 1 CBT unpainted figure, screw that,I could buy the whole dark age set with that, and I did,but Youd think the book would tell you that, wierd.

I love these new mechs, and after opening my Operation Klondike, I remembered how much I loved the Mech Artwork, and after seeing these, I realize YOU did it, which makes the book twice as awesome.

BTW, even though you haven't posted it, the Imp made me chuckle a little.

Thanks man. The Imp was my arch nemesis for that project. I tried sooooo hard to change it more and make it awesome but they just wouldn't let me.

Never been a fan of the design. The old looked not even dangerous at all but rather a lil ridiculous. Like a harmless toy-Mech. Brent Evans does great work and his illustrations in the TRO3050U really improved even the bad designs. But his Falcon still has this harmless simple toy-appearance beeing so narrow-chested. This is the first I'd even think about using. Because the Klondike-Modell is the first with some punch and cos you finally made the Falcon look like it can be a threat. I think its mostly because of the more streamlined "ears" and the wider chest with the jump-jets in the armpits...which is the best feature on this.
I wish you'd make new illustrations for all the new Royal-variants too adding some more aggressiveness on some.
