I FINALLY colored the winning mech from my "mecha fail" contest. Sorry to delay it for so long but I have to do paying work first.

I added some Canadian flags because the winner is from Canada. Looking at this image makes me thankful Canada is such a good and peaceful neighbor!!!

"mecha fail" refers to a contest and not directly to this design. This design is very nice and was the grand prize winner of the contest. Here is a link to the old journal post about the contest so you can see why it is called "mech fail"

this mech was a collaboration. Look at the deviation page again and you'll see the original image. It's the result of a contest I held a few years ago. I posted a bunch of random robot sketches and then other deviants mixed-m-matched the parts into new mech. I re-drew my top 3 favorites and this was one of them.

I was looking through things on dA tagged with "Battletech" out of boredom, and I saw this again and had to take another look (and read the comments). Honestly, I don't see where people are getting the idea that this looks like a Bushwacker - to my eyes, with the arms, the offset cockpit, and the dual missile racks, it looks a lot more like a Cauldron-Born.
